Data scientists and ML engineers work on a variety of problems at Zomato such as predicting kitchen preparation time, predicting rider assignment time, personalised ranking of the restaurants. In this talk, Nikunj Jain – software engineer at Zomato – explains the platform Zomato built to cater to these scenarios and outcomes for model deployment. He also explains how model deployment which earlier used to take one to two months now takes less than a week to go to live.
